ABOUT US

HIGHLAND LGBT FORUM AIMS

The aims of the Highland LGBT Forum are to preserve and protect the mental and physical health and social welfare of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT+) people in the Highlands & Islands. We also aim to promote fair and equal treatment for LGBT+ people by challenging the stigma and discrimination experienced by them at both community and personal level. There are two main strands to our work.

The Highland LGBT Forum is an independent, self-governing organisation, and is a charity registered in Scotland No. SC039528.

HIGHLAND PRIDE
Highland Pride is a pride event for the LGBT+ community and allies in – as well as visitors to – the Highlands. It is organised by volunteers from the Highland LGBT Forum.

HIGHLAND PRIDE SCIO
A new charity Highland Pride SCIO (SC050189), with similar aims to the Highland LGBT Forum, has been established to replace the Forum. The Forum intends to wind up and pass its assets and liabilities to Highland Pride SCIO.
