We’ve put together a special day FOR trans and non-binary people to come along and celebrate being YOU!
Please note that due to limited spaces this event is aimed at those who identify as trans and/or non-binary ONLY.
Join us as we have some talks and Q&A sessions plus free lunch and an opportunity to have honest discussions in a safe and supportive environment. We have booked a cosy meeting room at Eden Court Theatre and Cinema in Inverness and places are limited, if you do want to come please book your place to avoid disappointment.
Tea and coffee will be available on arrival at 10.00am before the morning session begins and then we’ll then stop for a complimentary sandwich lunch at 12.30pm before the afternoon session from 1.00pm until 3.00pm. Please let us know of any dietary requirements.
On the day we’ll be joined by:
- Amanda Latham from Define Style Consultancy who will give her top tips which are less about fashion and more about finding what helps you build your style and own personal coat of armour to help boost your confidence facing the world. Amanda, a London College of Style graduate with over 20 years’ experience in fashion retail, has a wealth of colour knowledge, experience in building confidence in others, great attention to detail and the ability to adapt to every personality and will be happy to take questions and offer advice on a one-to-one basis during the day.
- Donna Melvin from Unique Skin Clinics has been a great support to the local LGBT+ community over the years offering confidential advice and treatment for permanent hair reduction or removal and skin treatment. She will also talk about ways to remove body hair at home that is kinder to your skin and will yield better results, Donna is a qualified nurse, with over 21 years in medical aesthetics & is a member of the British Medical Laser Association, Scottish Dermatology Nursing Society, British Association of Skin Camouflage and The British Dermatology Nursing Group.. Donna will also be happy to take questions and offer advice on a one-to-one basis during the day.
- Aimee Stewart from Born 2 Bee will be hosting a workshop on the power of authenticity and embracing who you are beneath all of the internal/external judgements and creating an inner sense of value. She will also take you through a Guided Mindfulness Session and explore the value of kindness, both to ourselves and others. Aimee is a mental health professional with a specialism in the Mind/Body Connection and teaches simple ways to harness our own personal power so as to enhance the experience of life. She has studied Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and trained with Dr David Hamilton who is renowned in the field of Mind/Body Science. You will get a workbook to take with you and she will spend the hour guiding you through an experience of self-love.
